reducing days at nursery - have I really got to give 6 weeks notice?

dd goes to day nursery 3 days a week, my mum is now in a position to have dd once a week for a day, I phoned nursery to say I would need to reduce dd's days and they said thats fine I could fill in a form tomorrow, BUT, because the invoices have been sent for march then I would have to carry on paying for the whole 3 days from now until march 31st I questioned this as I know in the terms and conditions it says that to cancel you must give 1 calendar months notice - assuming the same applies to changing days as well, I took this to mean I had to give 28days notice, thus meaning the middle of next month,. I was told that they will not send out ammended invoices and so I wiill be lioable for a full months fees at 3 sdays a week.

Is it just me or am I being petty for finding this ridiculous. I could understand if I had told them on the 20th or later but FFS its the 13th, not even the middle of the month!

I am feeling that angry about it that I am tempted to takle dd out altogether, this is npt the first issue I have with them and it seems like somthing new bothers me each time she goes.

yay!!!!!!

went to see nursery managerb in person and told her what i thought, offered to pay 4 weeks but not a month plus 2 weeks and I couldn't believe it when she said I have paid for february but they will not invoice me for march as long as I predate the changes form. She even said she would say she had been slow in putting it through if asquith asked Q's, faith renewed in them being humans afterall
