Notice - summer holidays

I want to move my DD to a new nursery. In the contract it says I have to give 4 weeks notice. She is term time only, so next week is her last before she is off for the summer holidays. If I give her notice in, does it include summer holidays?

So will I get my deposit back in 4 weeks, or would she have to go back for 3 weeks after the summer holidays? My friend who works there thinks I might have to pay for the first 3 weeks of summer holidays, but surely this can't be right?

Asking here as I want to know where I stand before letting them know I want to leave.

I think nits 4 weeks from when you give notice
Its what we do in our nursery
If a parent gave motif, its taken from the date of the letter
You should check your contract though just to be sure

Thank you. I think so too. I hope so! It doesn't mention it in the contract

Sometimes notice period specify that they don't include holidays. You should plan to pay for 4 weeks and get your deposit back after whatever they think those 4 weeks are. You need to read your contract and ask.
