DS at nursery and I'm constantly ill!

DS (1) started nursery at 9 months. Since then he's had a couple of days when he's been off colour, a viral rash and constantly runny nose. Not too bad considering the horror stories I'd heard.
I on the other hand have had several bouts of shivery coldy fluey things culminating in some quite involved vomiting on Friday evening and now three days in bed with a fever and pretty impressive chesty cough.
Anyone else had a similar experience? How long till it settled down? Of course I'd much rather I was sick then DS but in an ideal world we'd both be well!

Yes it seems to be a hazard when children go to nursery.

unfortunately it's normal.
I still get nice 'presents' from my primary age dc....

DS1 is now in year 1 and now has a sturdy immunity, probably no thanks to his time in nursery. Take multivitamins and don't be a martyr take the odd day off sick when you are sick.

Does it get better or is that it now? Why is DS's immune system apparently so much better than mine?!

Babies do things like shove fingers up your nostrils and try and feed you from plastic cups with fake tea, as well as smearing petit fileu on your clean work clothes... however hard you try and get there first with a flannel.

It does get better but you must go through chicken pox and nits first.

Oh God nits, still not forgotten the smell of the shampoo from when I was a kid...! fetches razor

Strip him off and bath him before he gets through the door . Get yourself a flu jab.

DD had a slight cough last week. She's given it to PIL who have both taken to their beds! Nursery germs are somehow mutated into something extra lethal.
