Hi,

Scouting early but looking into nurseries in Finchley area, nearer Finchley Central/West Finchley - anyone have any recommendations, tips?

Not Finchley per se but close. Teddies (Bupa owned) in Friern Barnet. Close to north circular, New Southgate train station and Arnos Grove tube (picadilly line)

If you're still looking, I quite liked the Early Learning Years nursery which is just behind Tesco on Ballards Lane. Really nice vibe, fresh vegetarian food, friendly staff.

Thanks - I'll check it out...

Primary Steps is in West Finchley, small, cosy nursery, think it takes children from 16 months only;
Busy Bees in the David Lloyd Centre near the multiplex - much larger, perhaps less 'personal';
Academy for Kids in Whetstone, lovely indoor rooms and big outdoor play area;
Scribbles in East Finchley often gets recommended;
I wasn't so impressed with ELY myself, thought the rooms were a bit poky and it was more expensive than all the others, not that I would begrudge the extra if I could see what I was getting for it.
It's a couple of years since I did the rounds though, so my info isn't as up to date as it could be.
