Would you change nursery?

My DS is 24 months old and has been going to nursery since 9 months. He took forever to settle at nursery which but generally gets on well once he's cried when I've left him.
He has since moved rooms and there is back to square one with drop off time. He won't even walk in there and get a upset when we pull up on the drive.
He had an incident with anther boy where this boy hit my DS on the head which caused him to fall back. now I know these things happen but the staff didn't tell me, DS did. I asked them the following day and they said oh yes there was an incident. Thanks for telling me.
He only goes Thursday and Friday and you can pretty much guarantee every Thursday his bum starts to get sore. by Friday it's red raw. so bad tonight in fact he screamed when we wiped him and put metanium on shouting "it's sore".
Poor DS.
I'm considering ghanging moving but don't know if I'm Beig a little ott.
Would appreciate others input and what they would do.

I have changed nursery for less.
Once you've lost the trust, it's hard to get it back. If you can find a space elsewhere, why not move him?

Firstly, your son is 2.

Secondly. Yes, I have moved nurseries. The fact you're even considering it, says you should imo. Go with your gut instinct.

I changed my ds's nursery when he was nearly 3 for similar reasons after a room change. To be honest I spent far too long deliberating, I should have moved him as soon as it started going wrong, instead of hoping it would improve and worrying how he would settle elsewhere.

I wasted a good few months and the move went so smoothly, within weeks I got my happy boy back, who went smiling in to the new nursery without a second glance, it was finally how it was meant to be.

Trust your instincts.

I'd definitely move him.

I think you should move him but also make a complaint about the sore bottom.
Imagine the kids who are there all week. I think you would be helping the other kids too. (Though I know you don't have to).

Just an update : have looked at another nursery and really liked it. have given current nursery my four week notice period and explained to them my concerns and why I was taking him out. He went today and when I picked him up they said he'd had a great day.
When his dad was bathing him he asked if he had a good day to which DS replied no, George hit me. I asked where and he said at nursery. DP then asked where on the body and he touched the back of his head and said hit me on back of head. He said lulu (nursery nurser) told george off. They didn't tell me, again!
I'm furious and tbh quite concerned. I've decided to take him.out with immediate effect. I am also going to refuse to pay for the rest of august. do you think I am being unreasonable?

I don't think so. I would do exactly the same! They have a responsibility to tell you when your child has been involved in an incident and it sounds like your little one is having a rough time of it. If he's not happy and you are not happy leaving him there then don't!

You are not unreasonable to take him out immediately
You are still liable for the fees during the notice period though.
They may take you to the small claims court if you don't pay it

He's out and I messaged them this morning stating I was willing to psy for childcare received to date but not above and beyond due to them breaching their contract with me by not telling me about the bumps to head.

I was all ready for a future war in Court and received an email saying sorry leaving on bad terms. Only invoiced to yesterday's date. They must know they are in the wrong.

I work at a law firm and I would have taken it all the way.
