I don't know if anyone is interested but I thought I post what is sorted and what isn't all on one thread iyswim (sorry if you don't care)
Positives:

  • Planning say maybe OK?
  • I can have a slate roof
  • I can have solar panels (for hand washing) - LPG heater for washing dishes
  • I can have rainwater harvesting
  • I can have a low ceiling (heating bills) with plaster board (more choice for lighting)
  • I can prob have veggie garden & chickens
  • I can promote real nappies & maybe offer a laundry service (perhaps...thanks Skribble)
  • I can have my Birth to three room
  • I have 4 banks offering me money
  • I have a planning consultant ready to come on board at the end of the month
  • I have a builder who is starting to listen

Negatives:

  • Highways say No way
  • I can't afford render
  • I can't have GSHP/wind turbine
  • I can't have mains drainage
  • I have to have a cess pit
  • I can't have grey water recycling (too much paint & playdoh)
  • Water might cost me ?14K
  • I may have to have the garden on the south side (due to high wind as it's an exposeed site - bas for shade)
  • asbestos roof will cost a small fortune to loose
  • Planning Consultant will cost a lot

Thanks for reading (sorry of you're bored)

Lots of positives there Katymac. Gotta pin down those pesky beauracrats eh? Good luck - did the Planning Consultant give positive vibes about the access?
