DS's nursery has gone very downhill recently and I am putting in a formal complaint. It seems as though there are masses of kids to only a couple of carers. What are the ratios please.

Sometimes he is in a group of 3 to 5 year olds. sometimes a group of 4 to 8 year olds.

Need to know the facts on this one

Than ks

Hiya, I used to work in a nursery, the ratios according in the National Standards are:
Under 2 yrs 1 adult:3 children
2 yr olds 1:4
3 yrs - 7 yrs 1:8
These are the minimum ratios for the nursery to meet the National Stardards. It is only 1 yr since I left and I don't think they will have changed HTH

Lrkids is correct. They haven't changed.

LRkids is right - I am planning to open a nursery and these ratios are burnt into my brain atm

Great thanks for the information. They certainly do not seem to be meeting these ratios.
