My dd will be at starting nursery at 9 months. She'll be doing 3 days from 8 to 6. Do you think she should do 3 days in a row eg tues, weds, thurs. Or have a break eg tues, weds, fri. Or does it not matter? She'll be with either me or or dp on the other days.

We did two days, break, one day and that worked really well. Your dd might not nap well at nursery and could need that day at home to recharge. We're on three days, break, one day now ds is 2 1/2 but are trying to get two and two. It's hard to make changes as midweek days are usually very full at nurseries.

Definitely with a break. And Fridays are usually a nicer calm and quieter day than the others, which often means more cuddle time.

I feared 3 days on the trot would be too much for mine at 9 months so went for a Mon/Tue/Thur which worked out really well as it left us a long weekend for trips if required and some downtime in the week. Plus
A day off on Wed meant I had a chance to catch up on errands if needs be

Breaks

Def with a break. And if they're ill (which they usually are a lot on starting nursery), you've got days inbetween to rest at home.

Mine do Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at nursery which works well for us. They like the break at home on Thursday. If you do Tues, Wed, Thurs that means Friday to Monday (4 days with DD without a break/time to catch ul on jobs etc).
We've temporarily moved to Tues, Thurs, Friday with works equally well.
Agree with PP about recovery time from illness too.

Thanks for all your advice. She's going to do the days with a break.
