Nurseries vs Nanny / nanny share in Saffron Walden

Hi There,

We are a family with two young children (DS 3yrs and DD 14 months) and looking to move to Saffron Walden from London (N6) sometime summer in 2015. We do not know anyone around the area. So I thought to post this thread to discuss some of my concerns with mums / families live in the neighbourhood.

I wonder whether some of you who live in Saffron Walden able to give us some advice and tips on good nurseries / day care and also on local playgroups please.

Also, is there any family known in the town who has full time nanny / au pair (Live in or out) or use nanny share? Or do people put up advert for things like that locally (i.e. library, coffee shops etc)

Generally how do you like living in SW? How is the community there?

Finally, the other concern is the commute to London from Audley End train station. How do you get to the station as I realised that it is not within walking distance from SW (especially in the early mornings or late evenings). Are there any alternative way to park the car in order to reduce the annual cost of parking at the train station?

Thank you for your comments in advance. ;-)
