Hello, less than 2 weeks ago I changed my son's nursery. I gave required notice at the old nursery and was told I would receive all his file on the last day. Then the day came and I was given only few pages in the folder covering time since the change of his key person and the change of nursery management. When I asked about the rest of the file (covering over 2 years time) I was assured by key person (and deputy manager at the same time) that they have it, just need to take it out of archive. She confirmed as well that the file was there when she took over my son. The same day I spoke with nursery owner (who is not working at the nursery) who confirmed the same. Few days later I rang and spoke to nursery manager who said exactly the same - 'Don't you worry, we need to take it out of archive'). After another week without any news I popped into the old nursery today just to be told that they cannot find it! I know I can complain to the nursery manager but she is the one who seems to lose the folders! Who else can I complain to? I'm feeling hopeless and frustrated - those folders are priceless to me :(

You can complain to the manager and the owner and that's about it
Ofsted wouldn't be interested, its not within their remit
It is possible the nursery have lost it or maybe they just can't he bothered looking for it. Its not like you can go anything.
It is a shame though, as they do make nice keepsakes

D d you see any of the paperwork over the two years? Did you have review meetings a 2 year check or did you have to sign off the next steps?

I would be suspicious....sounds like they either haven't kept it upto date, or for whatever reason don't want you to see it....perhaps poor quality?
