Gifts work key workers and other staff ?

It is our first Christmas with a child in nursery, is it usual to buy their key worker a small gift ? If so what sort of thing is appreciated ? I am on a very tight budget so no more than £10. Also should I be buying something for the rest of the room staff ? or would some homemade mince pies/cakes be acceptable ?

The title should be gifts FOR key workers and other staff

I've never bothered to get my DC's key workers separate presents as in my experience my kids never really bonded with their key workers, instead they preferred and bonded with other members of staff within the same room. Therefore, to avoid causing any bad feelings I give a massive box of choccies for the entire nursery.

Mine has bonded with his key worker so I got her a Burts Bees set from Amazon at less than £10. Someone here suggested a Molton Brown bauble, which also cost £10. I'll take in some Celebrations for the rest of the staff.

Thanks for this thread! I had been wondering what to do as it is DC's first Christmas and he has really bonded with his key worker. Very helpful.
