My 3 year old daughter cries at pre school

Hi, I need some advice on what to do with my daughter who turns three tomorrow. She has never been to nursery until 6 weeks ago when she started going 2 days a week for 5 hours per day. The pre school is a church run school up to kindergarten (4 yrs old)

The first few weeks were fine but now she says to me every day that she doesn't want to go to school. I manage to talk her into going and she goes ok, but when I pick her up her eyes are very red and she's been crying. I've heard people say that kids cry before going but I haven't heard them saying they are upset at school too. The teacher sends me pictures during the day showing her happy and playing in the park and in the class. The teachers are lovely but I'm not sure what sets off her crying.

I am fortunate I don't have to work so the reason I am sending her is so she spends time with other children and learns to socialise. The others days she's not at school we have plenty of fun and meet other children her age.

I must also add, we live in Florida 8 months of the year and have not got any family around (my husband also travels 6 months per year) so she is with me 24/7. I'm close to just going back to the uk and starting pre school there.

Sorry for the long post, by I would appreciate any comments or advice!!!

I would ask the nursery about how much she cries, and why.

When dd started nursery she would cry at pick up time as she would get excited when the bell went, then be upset if it was another parent. When we realised, and Until she settled, we were careful to be one of the first there. Maybe it is something like this, rather than her crying through the day.
