Nursery in Thornton Heath

Hi, we've just moved to Thornton Heath near Croydon and I'm due to go back to work part-time in mid-Feb when my son will be 1 year. I'm totally stressed already about the whole childcare thing! We need childcare 2 or 3 days a week and are looking into nurseries but there is very little available for under 2s. The Ofsted reports don't look great. Does anyone have any recommendations?

The owner's a mum and her child goes there. Some of the staff's children also attend, so the atmosphere's very warm and freindly. Recently redecorated so the buildings quite clean and fresh. There is also a real multi-cultural mix there amongst staff and children which is representative of the area. I'm sure they have a few places available for under 2's as a few children have just moved up.

My name is shanelle and i'm a childminder in the Croydon Area. I provide a warm and relaxed atmosphere to encourage children to grow into individuals and to also learn through their play.

I'm available from 7am to 6pm.(earlier/later upon negotiation) i'm also available for overnight stays.

I take children to the park, play centres, toddler clubs and libraries. I have a car and so take frequent trips to city farm, pick your own farms etc. So that the children can learn for example interaction skills, motor skills, learn about the community around them.
