i'm very surprised a nursery who doesn't cut grapes in half, i also remeber the story of the 3yr old choking in the supermarket, as a mother and childminder i always cut fruit into smaller pieces, i would def have to say something to the nursery

I started cutting up Ds3 grapes again after read ing the thread the other day.

He loved grapes and does this thing were he sucks them between his lips and they shoot into his mouth...because I showed him how to do it .
God! it could so easily shoot straight down his throat

It makes my blood run cold to think about it now.

When I got told dd had had grapes at nursery on monday I asked if they were cut up and they weren't & the nursery nurse had no idea they were a choking hazard - she was quite taken aback. I'm going to mention it to the nursery owner. It's not worth the risk & I don't care if it makes me seem a bit neurotic.

omg i cant believe a nursery nurse didnt know they were a choking hazard?!
