Nursery charges

I just wanted to gauge what most nurseries do if a child needs to be in nursery for an hour longer than a half day session? Would it be usual to have to pay for an entire day or just an additional amount for the extra hour?

I may do some half days when I return to work but due to my commute would get back for nursery pick up an hour after the end of the morning session.

You will probably have to pay for the whole day
In my nursery you can't have an extra hour tagged on to the morning session as we have ratios to maintain
With staff on lunches it can be hard to accommodate an extra child
I can't include staff on lunches even if they are in the building as their lunch break is unpaid
Also if a child is there for the afternoon register then they will get charged for the afternoon
Not all nurseries are the same. So your best bet is to ask them

That's what I suspected.
I've asked the question and am waiting for a response.

They do offer as hoc care with an hourly rate so maybe they will accommodate me.
