Hi,
We are moving from London to Caversham and are currently looking for a nursery for our 10 month old. Can anyone give any recommendations or advise on nurseries or childminding in that area.

We have viewed 4 already....Orchard Day Nursery, Greyfriars, Forbury and Chiltern nursery. The later two were my favourite but have long waiting lists.

Any advise would be very much appreciated.

You'll often find me in this nursery section. I'm the one that complains constantly about the quality of nursery provision in this country. Moan, moan, moan, that's me. I've worked as supply staff in the Orchard Day Nursery. I loved it. Bit tatty here and there possibly, but lots of equipment, nice friendly and kind staff, rather overstaffed sometimes (Which is a good thing for the children but I sometimes worried how they balanced the books), and generally a lovely relaxed homely atmosphere. I've not been since the new baby room extension was built, but the only problem before was the lack of room, so hopefully that's solved now. They have a lot of men working there too.
