Nurseries in Carshalton/Wallington

I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm pregnant with my first child and am viewing nurseries this month as I will need a full time place when my baby is about 10 months.

My local nursery is busy bees in Carshalton Beeches. It has a good rating by Ofsted and costs about 1150/1200 per month. Despite the costs which i thought (maybe naively?) were a tad high, I would opt for the closest option.

I hadn't thought of an alternative until travelling through Wallington the other day where there was a massive sign saying Ofsted had rated the nursery on stanley park road and the one behind (startel) as outstanding. After checking the fees, it turns out that they are charging £900 per month.

I'm at a lost as to why there is such a difference. Has anyone any experience who can offer advice? I'd be very grateful.

Thanks

Hi HBS, my DS now 2.5, has been going to Startel in Wallington since he was 10 months. I'm really happy with him there and I go to work with total peace of mind that he's well cared for and happy. They have a catering team on site for all the Janvett nurseries, and he eats very well whilst there. They seem to do a wide variety of activities, and he's just started at the football club they run there. All in all I think Startel deserve their Ofsted outstanding rating.
