I think it probably depends where in the country you are.

Round here the prices vary a lot int he nurseries in the city centre, right through to those on the outskirts and beyond. However, the city centre ones are not always te dearest.

not neccesarily, esp if they're the only one for miles. More competition can keep prices in town down.

hulababy · 01/08/2006 21:48

I am in Sheffield

Wordsmith · 01/08/2006 21:49

I pay apx £30/day in the West Mids.

WideWebWitch · 01/08/2006 21:50

650/month in the South East countryside

hulababy · 01/08/2006 21:51

Sheffield city centre - £28 a day (for over 2yo) I think

quootiepie · 01/08/2006 22:01

£192pw in Berkshire

alibubbles · 02/08/2006 06:10

£200 - £235 a week in St Albans or £55 a day, £30 a half day

geekgrrl · 02/08/2006 07:37

I'm not sure how much it is per day or per week at ours - I pay £220 pcm for ds to attend three 'short days (8 - 3) per week, he's 2 so he doesn't get any funding yet.
We are in the countryside and apparently our very lovely nursery is cheap for the area.

Clary · 02/08/2006 08:06

In Derby the going rate is about £25-£30 a day I think.
If you have a full week you usually get a day free IYSWIM.
Certainly cheaper than prices I have seen quoted on MN for London nurseries.

I pay £31/day in a village in West Yorkshire. Never quite sure what people mean by "the countryside".
