Hi everyone

My ds goes to nursery two afternoons a week and has been since May last year. He turned 3 on 11th January - does this mean the hours he goes for I get for free now? If so how do I go about it?
I have spoken to the nursery but they were very vague

He won't get the free hours allocation until the term after he turns 3 - so after the Easter holidays. The nursery need to tell you how they allow you to allocate the 15 hours (its 15 hours term time only) - for example my DS gets 3 hours 5 days per week, I know others who do 2 full days, some private nurseries allow you to do 10 hours a week all year round rather than 15 hours during term time. They will claim for the hours so you shouldn't need to do anything.

If the staff weren't able to tell you how it works, ask the nursery manager.
