Are you sure they don't have a box or basket somewhere that you have to look through for your child's stuff?

How old is your DC? Maybe they don't choose to do painting etc?

Have you checked in Their tray?

My DCs have attended 3 different nurseries between them and we've had cards, drawings and paintings home from all of them.

How long has your DC been there? Have you asked why no artwork is brought home?

sleepdodger · 10/01/2014 23:13

No they defo don't do it- I asked
They can and do paint draw etc but not to bring home or for special occasions events etc
It's a private nursery and oldest just into preschool room

Yes we get a folder of work every term. We also get sent ad hoc crap drawings etc. we didn't get a Mother's Day card last yr but got a Father's Day one (vice versa the year before) At Christmas we get a card , calendar & tree decoration plus tons of artwork which scatters glitter everywhere they're pretty good about making class birthday cards too. Ds has been there 2.3yrs

My DD's nursery is the same. They do all sorts of painting, craft etc. the walls are plastered in their efforts, but none of it ever comes home. She's only 13 months, so it's hardly going to be the Mona Lisa, but I'd love to see it and keep it for when she's older. I keep meaning to ask about it. resolves to do that on Monday

My daughter is at a childminders now so we don't get as much but at nursery I was constantly getting stuff back. If I didn't for a while I'd suddenly get thousands of pieces of paper that I wouldn't really know what to do with. That's part of the joy of the nursery. You get the trinkets to put up at work to show everyone how intelligent they are for drawing a bunch of squiggles and at home you can cover the fridge. Tell them you want them...
