Free 15 hours and changing provider

DD1 gets her 15 free hours at nursery.

If we change to a new nursery (in the same county) do we need to fill in new forms etc?

You can't move providers mid-term, only at the beginning of the term as once the money is allocated to one setting, another won't be able to claim it.
You probably will have to fill in forms at the new setting for their records.

You can change settings in our area whenever you want. Yes, you will have to complete forms for the new setting.
Settings cannot charge you notice for the funded hours, if you do move.

You can change any time here too (although only one setting will get the money for the term). As others have said, you will need to fill in new forms.

In my local authority once the "head count" date has been passed at the beginning of a term, then you cannot move your funding. In other words, if you choose to move to another nursery or setting, you will have to pay for sessions at the new nursery until the beginning of the next term.

The only exceptions to this in my local authority are if you move to a nursery too far away from the previous nursery, or, if you can prove that the previous nursery cannot meet your child's needs.

Thanks all. I didn't know about the termly thing. The reason we are moving her is because she is unhappy there and they have done nothing to address our concerns. I will contact the LA and see if this would be an exception or not.
