Question on government funding

Hey guys

This is my first ever post on here so hi :)

My wee boy is 3 and is in private nursery here in Aberdeenshire the 3 days that I work.

From April 2014 for around 5 months the nursery can only offer him 2 days a week. So he will only be using 4 out of his 5 government sessions each week for that period.

My question is...

For that period will I be able to look into putting him into a different nursery for the remaining session i.e. a morning or afternoon?

Or is this not the done thing?

Cheers in advance x

It shouldn't be a problem putting him in two nurseries - many people do this. However, you may struggle to find somewhere that will have him for only 1 session a week. It's not something we offer at the nursery where I work as we don't consider it to be in the best interests of the child to have such a short time in nursery.
