Hi this is my first post
I am having concerns and I am rather (how shall I put it) annoyed at the way I am being spoken to by a member of nursery staff my 2 and a half year old daughter attends.
I am a single parent and returned back to work a few weeks ago part time which means my daughter attended 4 morning sessions. She had been attending the nursery 2 mornings a week before I went back to work from the age of 1.
As she is 2+ she is now in a different room, I had no problems what so ever when she was in the under 2 room. Now there is a member of staff in the 2+ room that I am not too sure about, she seems to be ok with the children when parents are present but I've caught a few times when she thinks no one is there her personality seems to change so to speak. Since increasing my daughters nursery hours when I ask the nursery worker how had my daughter been she always has some sort of negative thing to say and when I explain to her how my daughter is at home she in a patronising way tells me what to do repeating exactly what I have said to her! This has happened on a number of occasions. I approached my daughters key worker and told her how I was feeling and she asked if I wanted to have a word with the nursery worker, I said no as the way I was feeling I would of probably come across rude, so the key worker said she would have a word.
Anyway I'm just worried now that if I send my daughter there after this incident I am absolutely petrified that she will be nasty towards my daughter and take what I reported out on my daughter. I was even thinking of giving up my job just so she doesnt have to go there.
Sorry it's a very long rant but I would be great full for any advice.
Thank you
Xxxxxxxxxx
