I was told on the parenting thread that my company will continue to pay the £243 childcare vouchers when I'm on smp mat leave....is this right? I was told to come here for more advice....hope so sounds brilliant! Means dc1 can go to nursery a few mornings a week while I look after newborn.

Yep, they can't deduct from SMP, so as long as you are claiming them already, you should get SMP and vouchers each month.
If you do a keeping in touch day, and so get paid above SMP, they will use that money to pay for the vouchers that month.

I got mine. As you cannot salary sacrifice from SMP they need to pay you then at whatever rate you have them now (hopefully £243!) it's classed as a non-cash benefit I believe so that's why you get them Grin
