Nursery costs

Hi all!
I had my last daughter 12 years ago & so I'm out of touch with Nursery/Childcare costs.. Can anyone who's a bit more in the know give me an idea how they cost per hour/day these day?

Ours is £42.50 for 8-6pm. Inc food nappies etc. all days of year

Where are you located - that will make a huge difference. In Surrey we pay around £80 per day, cheapest is around £65.

Agree that it really depends where you are and what type of child care you're looking for. I think nurseries tend to be more expensive than childminders, nannies more expensive than nurseries. Even in a relatively small area, nursery prices can vary massively. I pay £835 per month for a 3 day / week place (NW), think childminders are around £5/6 per hour (more if you just want after school rather than full days etc), nannies are £8-10 per hour net (but you have to factor in tax and NI on top of that).

For under 2s ours is £40 per full day, 7am - 6:30pm including food and nappies. This reduces at 2 but I'm not sure what it reduces to.

Very few childminders around here and certainly none with spaces.

Im Cambridgeshire. Our nursery is £36 including meals for my 3 year old (little bit more for younger children) My childminder/daycare is £53 including meals. Both open 7.30 and CM finishes 6pm whereas nursery at 6.30pm. Neither provide nappies (although they do have emergency stashes) or wipes.

I'm paying £39 per day from 8.30 - 5.30 for 1YO Ds when I go back to work - includes meals but not nappies.

nottingham - 34.50 a day inc 3 meals

Northwest 40 per day 8-6pm nappies and food included

West mids I payed £34 full day. Toddlers (2-3 years) but I reckon some are up to £40 a day.

London, £60 per day 8am-6pm including three meals, two snacks and all nappies

we pay £49 a day for our 1 year old ds. we're in Edinburgh. includes nappies wipes, 3 meals and snacks.
