My 2.5 year old son's first week at nursery was going well and he loved it. Then on the last day he was there that week he had a massive nose bleed and they asked me to take him home. He said he wanted to go back but I said we were going home and he could come back another day. Then the next week he had chicken pox so could not attend and this whole he week he has been screaming and crying and saying he does not want to go. Last night he kept waking in the night miserable. I am finding it so hard, part of me thinks that I should just not take him as I am a childminder so I could just have him with me at home but another part feels like it's good for him to get some independent time and we have a baby due in May and I don't want to take him out only to put him back in when baby arrives and make him connect the baby with having to be apart from me. Am at my wits end. Any advice anyone can offer would be much appreciated. Thanks

I would take him back, you know he enjoys it, he'll soon get back into the swing of things and be begging to go back again, before you know it!!

I would take him back and persevere. Both mine go through these phases Smile

Thanks for the advice. I think he is getting better. On Thursday he did not leg it out the door straight away when I picked him up. Glad to hear this is normal phase for him to go thru Smile
