Totally depends on the nursery.
I have worked in a couple that were closed on Bank holidays and 1 that is open.Of the 2 that were closed, 1 charged for the day and 1 didn't.
The 1 that is open charges an extra fee if you want to send them in on the bank holiday. The 1 that is open for the bank holiday is closed over xmas, the other 2 are open except for xmas day and boxing day/new years day.

My DD's nursery is closed Bank Holidays. Over christmas they only close christmas day, boxing day and ny day (or equivalent BH's if they fall on a weekend) but ask you to pick up early on Christmas Eve as they like to close by 4.

Ds's nursery closed for a week between Christmas and NY but were otherwise open all year.

Mine is closed on Bank Holidays but open on Public Holidays, I think. They're closed on June 4th but open on Tuesday 5th June, as an example. From memory I think that they were also open on Good Friday. We get a monthly invoice clearing setting out refunds against the invoice for days that they're closed, though, so we always know in advance.

Mine is open on bank and public holidays but closes for a fortnight over xmas and new year

Mine is closed BHs but charges for them, closed over Christmas and new year but does not charge, spreading the fee over 12 months evenly.

Down to the individual Nursery, but the vast majority are closed (I visit Nurseries as part of my job).

Depends on the nursery. The first one we used closed BHs and didn't charge for them. The second opened for limited hours 9.30- 3ish I think, and charged everyone whether your child was there or not.

Ours is open except over Christmas but where we are (Scotland) everyone seems to get different days off (some UK bank holidays, some local days etc).
