I suspect it's where he picked it up from, but it started Monday night, was to ooh drs on Wednesday and seen own gp today who finally confirmed it. Not due back til Monday and has no fever or anything no medication, so do I phone them up and tell or, tell them on Monday when he's next in or something else? He's only been there 6 weeks so not sure what the rule is. Thanks

Hope he's ok. I would let them know, at least when you drop him off on monday. It maybe that they have had a few cases. Where I work if we had a few cases it would prompt us just to do any extra deep clean and steralisation just to try and stop as many bugs as possible. Not always possible and he probably did get it from there but i would want to know if one of ours had been poorly.

Croup can be life threatening, why wouldnt you tell the nursery.. Croup is worse when child is sleeping and crying which is both possible at nursery, if the child started to cough and couldnt cathch their breath, the nursery would proberly panic and ring an ambulance... Some nurseries wouldnt accept a child in with croup so u must check before
