was dd (7mths) first day at nursery today, she was there for 2 hours (it increases over the week) she was fine, I cried. The staff said she was as good as gold and I'm now feeling bad because I start work next week but after getting the first months invoice and what it will be costing monthly well I may have to give up work because I will be well out of pocket so its just not worth it and if dd likes it will be awful having to take her out

I'm going to pick mine up in 20 minutes after his first 2 hours. I sobbed when I got out of the door. Can't imagine it getting easier but common sense says it will. The staff all looked about 12. Keep having obsessive thoughts about winning the lottery!

Me too! keep winning ten pounds so will being doing the euro (i should be so lucky tho)

You have to trust the staff I suppose, I just went shopping and got a new haircut to take my mind off worrying about her

Oh my god. He slept!! Only for 25 minutes compared to 1 1/2 hours at home but they didn't have to rock him or anything. Am so relieved as it means he was calm. He also didn't look particularly interested when I arrived to pick him up. Phew. Still can't imagine doing it full time next week.
