and it went very well! He's been settling in over the past week and seems to have loved every second, so I wasn't too upset when I took him in this morning (though I did have a sob after I got him home, having held it together all day...)
So big thank you to all the MNers who were nice to me about it a few weeks ago - it made all the difference.
