First Christmas in Nursery - presents?

DS has been in nursery since August and our first Christmas is fast approaching. Very new to the childcare thing, and wondering if it's de rigeur to send gifts in to the ladies in the baby room? If so, any ideas for gifts that aren't food related (strict ban on bringing any food in from outside due to allergies...) but aren't too pricey. Was kind of thinking of £5 a head as it adds up when there are 5 of them.....!

Suggestions gratefully received!

I think this will really depend on the nursery. My DD is at a small nursery and we are close to all of the staff. I usually go for a present (toiletries type gift) for her key-worker and a big box of chocs for them all to share in the staff room.

When I worked in a private nursery, we loved the boxes of biscuits or big tins of chocolates. It gave us something nice to munch on on breaks
