Hi
Having a slight nightmare with nursery provision in our area......working out the NEG and getting on waiting lists!!We are looking for Sept 2011 when my DD will be 3.

Can anyone recommend the 'Crickets' Montessori NW6, or Hopscotch nursery on chevening road. I'd love some recent feedback.

Its also been my experience to date that a lot of nurseries are a little bit 'coy' at telling you how much NEG has been awarded to them, I kinda think they ought to be open and transparent about this from day 1- before you give them a registration fee?? - how else are we supposed to figure out if our child can go there?!
Anybody else had similar experiences?

Thanks

Hello, I wander if you will receive this... did you get anywhere? I was in the same boat we are nw10. I finally accepted Crickets as we are start er before 3, but am not happy that we do not know the 'top up fee' apparently it is not legal or correct to tell parents this which is strange seeing as everyone needs to budget! So I am hoping to learn more and meanwhile have signed up at Jellitots who have been more open abt it. I too was late in getting her on any lists.

Hi mariasmummy, hope you found a suitable pace for your child. We ended up going down the state school nursery option which made sense to us at the time as we thought enrolling at the nursery to which we are in the catchment area for made sense. However she did not get in to the primary school as there was a huge amount of siblings that get priority, so our best laid plans were thwarted!!
Crickets, we have two very goods friends with children there and they are very happy. Which did you go for in the end??
I am still of the mind that parents should be able to work out their nursery fees and know how much is likely to be outstanding after the NEG, so can't figure out why some nurseries want to try and avoid that subject for their prospective parents and children. I mean, it's practical to know isn't it especially as we have incredibly expensive child are in this country compared to our European colleagues.
