Hi, my son is nearly 2 and has been attending an excellent nursery. I would like him to go through to the adjoining pre-school when he is 3 up to age 5 before he leaves for primary school. There used to be 80 full time places but now with new government changes there will only be 40 f/t places with strict criteria, so he may not get a place. Instead they have to find another 120 part-time places and those children will not get a full time place.
Has anyone else experienced this? I am worried what to do if he doesn't get a f/t place and even if he did whether the classes would be so big that the standard will go downhill.
Any comments appreciated.
