It's amazing the lenghths I can go to to find something to worry about!

Should I get proper name tapes printed or can I just write on clothes labels with a marker pen? What do you do?

I spent this morning writing in my DS's shoes/coat/jumpers with permanent marker - just his first name and initial on the labels.

I can't believe I forgot to do it sooner - he's been there a week already!

When DS started nursery at a year old, I ironed name tapes in all his clothes.

However, the novelty soon wore off and now I only label shoes, coats and jumpers if he's likely to take them off during the day. Nothing's gone missing, even when he has to change his clothes.

I write on shoes with a Sharpie. His current coat has a special bit on the label to write names on. Anything else gets a label ironed in.
