What sort of age provision are you looking for - day nursery or nursery school? We used Ravenstone House (off Albion Street), which has both, but we only used from two up - we were happiest I think with the toddler room (two to three), because there was a particularly nice room leader. All depends on whether she's still there, I suppose.

Otherwise, for nursery schools, there are lots of Montessoris the other way, towards Notting Hill. And of course the Acorn, but if you didn't reserve a place from your labour ward you probably haven't a chance

My daughter is 13 months so i am looking for a nursery place. Is ravenstone house in lancaster gate? Is that the REALLY expensive one? Never heard of Acorn...where is it?

Cheers:-)

Sort of beyond Lancaster Gate, into "Connaught Village" land. We only did part-time pre-school age, so maybe a different costs scenario!

Acorn is west, Ladbroke Grove way. Pretty sure it's only pre-school too though - say from two and a half - so not what you're looking for.

I know there's a Westminster council nursery in Queensborough terrace, but don't know anything more about it. Have you got the council list? I seem to remember there wasn't masses around there. Childminders?
