C section - how soon did your period return ?

I had a c section 26 days ago bleeding pretty much stopped for the last week or so and just mainly been discharge etc. however today I’m bright red bleeding could this be my period returning ? Seems odd that I would start bleeding again since it had calmed down I’m not breastfeeding.

Really quickly! I think it was only 4 weeks despite exclusively breast feeding

four months - was exclusively breast feeding.

I bled for 6 weeks after my c section. Period restarted at 6 months but I was breastfeeding.

13 months

A couple of months. Both times.

3 months and 4 months
I breastfed for a week each time

8 weeks after c section it returned I wasn't breast feeding x

Same happened to me, bled for 3-4 weeks after c section, maybe 5 days break then period returned. I was terrified as I thought I was haemorrhaging. It was bright red and heavy.
I rang the doctors for advice,
I wasn’t breastfeeding. My periods were really heavy for about 8 months after too.

Four months. Was mixed feeding

Yeah this is what I thought as tells you that on the internet. Not looking forward on them being heavy they were already really heavy as I have endo 😢 looks like period back on track god dam

10 weeks for me! I went to the GP after 6 months as my periods were lasting 2 weeks and I thought something was wrong...everything all looked ok and eventually they did settle but took a while! Hopefully yours will settle down and not be as heavy after a while 🤞 x

Yeah it must be my period god dam it thought I’d get another few weeks!!

Could be period but also my friend had a C section, and around three weeks had a bleed and it was a pocket of trapped blood inside caused by the C-section (doctors said nothing to worry about) and it lasted a few days. Her period did then return after about six weeks though!

My section was 15 months ago and my periods still haven't returned. Same for my first child too (not a C-section).

26 days is pretty soon after birth. I'd be suspicious of that. Anecdotally, I thought I stopped bleeding a couple weeks after my c-section but then it started up again a few days later after walking a bit more. When I googled it, I read you can dislodge more with activity.
