i hate winter but prefer feb to October as at least you’ve got the end in sight.
October means we’ve got 6 months of darkness. I’m in Scotland so think this makes a difference.

I love the transitions, not so keen on the heat and the feeling of decay in August. I do love the long summer holidays though. They've all got something going for them.

April is the cruelest month.

May. Love the flowers all coming out and the longer days. Bank holidays.
September. Love the end of summer and cooler days.
October. Changing of the leaves.
April. This depends on how wet it is.
March. Usually still cold but clocks change.
June. As long as it’s not too hot. Wimbledon starts!
November. Birthday month for me and my DD.
December. Christmas!
February. Winter is almost done! Looking to spring.
August. Holiday but tbh hate the heat. So as long as we go somewhere colder then love August.
July. Too busy with school things!
January just depressing only made better as it’s my DS birthday month.

I love summer, the heat, the long days. Also love the coziness of fall /winter. February and March feel like the longest months: cold, wet and grey. Gross.

Mine are pretty similar. I love spring with flowers coming through and the days longer. I like the summer for the hours of daylight and while I don't like the weather too hot, definitely prefer it to cold.
I hate cold and dark, so hate November December and January, and dislike September and October because there's not much to look forward to.
Not mad on February. The weather is still cold. Both my parents died in February so it's a reminder of that. However in its favour the days are getting longer and my favourite flowers (daffs) are starting to push through so it feels the end is in sight.

April - my birthday month, and proper spring!
December - I love Christmas, which I appreciate is an unpopular opinion around these parts
May / September - we live in the west of Scotland and the weather is often best at these times, and it's (mostly) pre/post-midgie season
March - I love seeing the beginning of spring
June - Royal Highland Show month
October - proper autumn is brilliant
July / August - summer is nice
January - Hogmanay and we always throw a massive Burns' Supper
November - okay

February can fuck right off, though

Very similar to @Soozikinzii’s list, although for some reason I felt a bit sad in September this year, even though we had some lovely weather towards the end of the month, it seemed sad getting to the end of such a long summer.

How I would feel about the winter months would be very different if I wasn’t in a position to book some time away to get a bit of winter sun, normally in February as Christmas brightens up December and I keep going through Jan as I have my holiday to look forward to and then March we are looking towards the Spring. November is grim and I think that also requires a couple of days away where it’s hopefully a bit warmer.

Arlanymor · 23/10/2026 14:18

February - my birthday! Shortest month to payday! Valentines (if you're into that)! Sometimes pancake day! February all the way...

And then all of the other ones...
