Membrane sweep - did it work?

Just that really did it work? And what point in your pregnancy did you have one ? Were you overdue or did you have one before 40 weeks pregnant

I had one at 39w with my second. She said I was around 2cm already. It didn't hurt at all. Had it around 9am Friday, waters broke 8am Sunday, baby arrived 10am Monday.

I also had one attempted during my induction with my first, it was one of the most painful experiences of my life, cervix was nowhere near dilated/ready to go, and I don't believe it had any effect as I then went on the drip etc.

Pregnant with number 3 now and no desire to be pregnant longer than I have to, will definitely take another 39w sweep if offered.
