finally worked through my stash of nappies we had pre baby & looking to rebuy. we’ve tried rascals, pampers, pura & aldi mamia

Everyone seems to love the Aldi Mamia but i’ve tried them for the first time today and little guy has leaked through 3/5 of them. I’m so confused - they’re almost dry when i take them off and he’s leaking wee all up his back through his vest and onto his clothes. Am i just putting them on wrong?? I’m so confused lol - i worked in a nursery for 6 years and would change 100s of nappies a month idk what im doing wrong.

what are the best? what are the best that don’t cost the earth too - thank you !

Sainsbury’s, Little Ones

The whole waistband is stretchy, not just the back
They do up to size 8 I think but also do pants from size 5+ and up

Used them for both my children, tried other brands occasionally and nothing compared. They’re also quite cheap

I never had any issues with any particular brand but I've always liked Lidl's nappies.

Aldi do indeed seem to be a firm favourite in lots of circles. Are you sure you are using the right size? Has your baby perhaps outgrown its vests and the press stud fastening between the legs become tighter and is compressing the nappy?

Rascals are my favourite, i used them in 2021 with my first and now with my second. They're the only nappies i've found which don't smell of wee straight away.

I find Aldi nappies are smaller than others supposedly the same size so that might be why you’re getting leaks. I never got on with Lidl nappies which lots of people love. I mainly used Asda, Sainsbury’s and Tesco nappies with my newborns and found them all fine.

Rascals nappies and then followed on with the Rascals nappy pants.. the best with the fullest fluff out material elastic around the legs and bottom. Find them a little thicker and padded then Pampers and supermarket brands (I've tried them all!) and reasonably priced too. Sizing has been pretty accurate and decent high back too.

I have always gone back to Asda little angels, although I’ve learned that leaking through is either I’m not pulling out the little frills at the legs or I need to size up, never usually to do with brand.

opinions:

Pampers - made my DD sore
Aldi - second best, abit on the smaller side
Tesco - too thin don’t hold much
Sainsbury’s - made my DD sore
Lidl - too thin
