FTM frustrated 6-week baby before sleep

Hi

looking for some advice as I’m a first time Mum.. my baby is just over 6 weeks old and gets very frustrated/fussy before sleeping for daytime naps. Thankfully this doesn’t happen at night where he just wants to eat/change diaper and get back to sleep ASAP. This also makes me think that there may be something we can do to help during the day.
Basically he’ll feed and be content looking around, interacting with us for a small amount of time and then suddenly he’ll become very frustrated - shaking fists, red face and crying.
Difficult to console, usually will only stop crying in one position (over our shoulder) while walking around in a dark room, however it doesn’t always work. Sometimes singing helps too. We check/change his nappy, make sure he’s fed (he will refuse both breast and bottle if he’s very frustrated, even though sometimes I think he is still a bit hungry) and usually just try and wait for him to calm down/exhaust himself to sleep.
we’ve tried settling him earlier ie. after 30mins as soon as he’s fed etc. but it doesn’t make much of a difference, he’ll be content and then suddenly become very upset. Also try and make sure he’s burped etc. and he’s been having normal nappies etc.
many one any advice?

You could be missing the early hungry cues. So he gets to the too hungry to eat stage and needs to be settled first.

Early cues are pretty subtle -turning head side to side, looking for mum, moving hands about.
