Hello! Welcome to Mumsnet 😃

Hello 👋 welcome

Hello @LittleRob

Welcome. What brought you here?

I would strongly suggest having a browse of the topics to find which ones are of interest. AIBU in particular can be fairly brutal and is not for the faint hearted!

You can use the "active" tab to get a pretty good idea of what's being discussed at the moment, but it is definitely worth looking through all the topics and having a browse of recent threads (as not everything will appear in Active).

Worth knowing that you can also hide entire topics so that they don't even appear in Active.

There are some lovely, funny, informed people on here, but it isn't all pink and fluffy all of the time!

@NotNeil well I have got a story which needs to be shared it's a consumer/ costumer service issue and someone said "mate, you should go on Mumsnet....!" which initially made me laugh as I thought this was him being funny... and it turns out this is real place...

So here I am...

Go for it, @LittleRob I'm sure you'll get lots of good input.

And you're very welcome to this wonderful space - many of us have been here for years (22 in my case!) under a variety of names, sometimes just enjoying reading as well as contributing. There have been many changes, both positive and occasionally negative, but the basic humour & camaraderie is still strong.
Enjoy yourself!

OK, so having read skimmed your thread about being "debanked" you absolutely don't need any advice on how to use MN!

Stories are often picked up by the tabloids - especially the more "unusual" ones.

Your situation is fairly specific - not sure that there will be many people who have experienced your exact circumstances, so yes, you need to be aware that it might end up in the papers and you could be identified.

LittleRob · 04/02/2025 12:49

doesn't bother me, there's so much stuff I can't say.

like the really bad stuff that happened

:)
