Life on my own

Hi everyone, have been looking for blogs unsuccessfully to read when I go to bed. I am a 47 year old single Mum to a 20-year-old Son who lives with me and my 2 dogs. Have been in 2 long term relationships in my life but second one ended in 2020 due to his infidelity and a serious physical attack on me which landed him in prison for 2 years. I moved away from where I grew up and lived for over 40 years and now live very remotely and dont have any desire for a relationship in the forseeable future. I am gladly feeling out of depression and have started to venture out again and just looking for any other Women in similar situation? My Son lives an active life, working and socialising and we have a great relationship but I am somewhat wondering what next for me when he inevitably moves out?! I am not miserable or lonely. Just curious to find any other likeminded ladies out there!

Not in this situation yet as kids are little but fully expect to be. Not having another man in life and planning on going to live somewhere nice (Italy?) with a collie. I'm sure someone more on your timeline will be along but following with interest as certainly in my future.

My last relationship ended in 2017. I live with teen ds . At some point he'll head off to uni although he may try to live at home.

I work full time, I run a couple of times a week, including ParkRun. Belong to a Karate club, started when ds was 5 and it sort of stuck. Somehow I've ended up as a parish councillor.

And I have a side hustle making jams, chutneys, sauces etc that I sell at village fetes. I make cider too.

It's nice, I have a better social life than I have ever had. Lots of company.
