Quoting part of a post?

Is it possible to quote part of a post?

Whenever I choose Quote, it puts the whole of the post in my message, and I can't figure out how to delete the part I don't want to quote.

You can't delete part with 'quote' function. Just cut and paste the bit you want and italicise it or put it in bold or quote marks. If you want to tag the poster just @ them.
