New Years Eve celebrations

Hi All -

I have just relocated back to the UK , but this time with a kid. So many things are new.

How do people celebrate New Year’s Eve here with kids ? I am specifically interested in Manchester/Liverpool .
Does it always have to be at home as restaurants don’t allow kids in for NYE celebrations ?

Thank you

Its not really a 'kid' activity though

We have always put them to bed so the older teens and adults can have that time

My daughter is 7 years plus now and as she is on school holidays she gets up fairly late , can have another nap during the day (if needed) and then celebrate with us until 1am or so. Or at least this was an idea.

If you want your kid to be involved in your NYE celebrations you either (ime) get together with friends or do your own thing.

I don't think pubs or restaurants welcome 7 year olds to see the new year in.

Don't blame them either!!

Having looked around at pubs and restaurants locally , agree that it is much more pleasant to do your own thing on NYE😀
