Parents who have own business or starting one

Hi - I'm new to Mumsnet as a dad.
My wife and I both have a business but not sure how many other parents on Mumsnet do? Difficult juggling with three kids but has massive upsides as well. Would be good to meet others who have or are thinking about starting one. Maybe there's a forum on Mumsnet for this?

Mum of four here. I started my own business 18 months ago. It's a real juggle. But it's worth it!

Yep I have my own business too. I’ve had it for 8 years now. Best thing I’ve ever done.
It has given me the flexibility I needed with the dcs, when I was ill etc...

We talk a lot about work :(

But at least nobody is bossing us around

It's more the if one of us gets sick / mat leave: injured

Where I wish I was employed by someone else

Mother of three, although they've either left home or don't need childcare anymore.

We didn't find it hard at all but might be the nature of the business, there was usually one of us free for the kids.

I think about it regularly, but realistically I don't think it will happen soon. Would love to hear your experiences though.

We own a smallish business (6 staff) and have 3 children and a 4th due in December. It’s hectic.

This place does seem to take a lot of time once you get here.
