Hello everyone. I've joined as don't know many real life mummies. Would love to know how other people are getting on and coping. I have a 1 year old son and am about 2 months pregnant. I'm really struggling with what I think is antenatal depression. Seen GP but didn't do much good. Extreme fatigue and nausea/ sickness aren't doing much to lift my mood either. Luckily I have been on leave this week but am due back to my job on Monday. Have no idea how to look like a functioning person when I've struggled to even get out if bed for the past 5 days. Any tips or advice would be really appreciated.

2 months pregnant? So 8 weeks... you’re in the trenches and there’s no easy fix. It’s probably too early to consider this antenatal depression because 8-14 weeks is traditionally the most knackering, nauseating time. Just plough through that first trimester, take your vitamins, and sleep early and long. It’s really tough feeling like this and having a one year old to look after. Flowers

That must be tough OP. Try to make sure you’re getting plenty of rest. Could you be low on iron too?

Congratulations on your PG too. Have you joined the MN Antenatal Club fircthe month you’re due? It might help to speak to sone other MNers who are at the same stage as you Smile
