Hey....I'm looking to try and meet people following a long and traumatic divorce...I live in Blackpool and have no family or friends so feeling quite isolated...I'm looking for any advice on how to do this...

I would go along to something I was going to enjoy - be that a choir or a sports team or an art class or volunteering or the Ramblers. That way, you have an enjoyable time even if you don't immediately hit it off with anyone in particular.

Other groups that might appeal, if you don't have a particular hobby, are WI, or Townswomens Guild, or Roteract or Soroptomists, again, all of which do all sorts of 'stuff' so you aren't specifically noticeable as someone 'looking for friends'

More specific groups could be something like Meet Up , or something like a 'knit and natter' or craft group, or a book group.

or a Church - or other religious community

Volunteering give so many thousands of different ways to meet people.

How old are you? What sort of hobbies do you enjoy? Are you new to Blackpool? Lots to do in Blackpool so this might help with recommendations.
