Where to live near Cambridge

Hello,
I might move to Cambridge in the next few months, and wonder where to!!!
I have been living in London for years, I am now a single mother with a little boy of 5 years old due to start school in September.
I love my London life but housing is too expensive but equally don’t want to be completely isolated in a rural place 😱

Any help will appreciated to tell me where will be good to live/school/not far from Cambridge/nice but also quite lively!

Cambridge isn't cheap either! As primary school places have already been allocated, I'm not sure how easily you will find a place. Are you willing to consider fee-paying schools? There are some good ones in Cambridge, and a good one in Saffron Walden which is not that far.

Why are you choosing Cambridge?

I recommend posting this on the Local board for Cambridge, as you will probably get more helpful responses there.
