Savings and tax credits

Hi just wondering how much savings you can have when receiving working tax credits and child tax credits and do you need to tell hmrc or just if it makes interest. Thank you

This is covered on the HMRC website. You just have to declare income from savings not savings themselves.

Thank you I have been searching the internet n websites but could only find it about universal credit and I'm still on the working child tax credits

If you’re still on tax credits then there is no savings limit, only the income on capital.
