notifications on BT blocked restricted access websites

Hi, please could someone tell me if BT block restricted access websites (as I would want them to) does the account holder then receive notifications about the block & website attempted to access & the ip address of the laptop/ipad etc being used?? & then If so does the BT notification come through as an email/text??
Does BT always notify the account holder? or does a special download thing have to happen for the information to be directed to the account holder?

If BT is anything like plusnet then no it wouldn't tell you if a blocked website had been accessed it just blocks it for the user with a message on a blank webpage saying that it's blocked. Also the internet provider ones don't seem to work very well (plus net certainly doesn't) If you want content blockers that report to you what has been blocked, when and which device it was then Open DNS is a really good one. It also lists almost every website that has been visited whether blocked or not. Bitdefender is an anti-virus and works pretty well though some websites still slip through the net and some websites are wrongly categorised so I've had to add lots of exceptions e.g. It won't let me read an article on feminist current but it will let me go on some nasty porn sites (I'm very anti-porn and was just testing the bitdefender). Many antiviruses offer a content blocker but many don't work properly. Kaspersky also works okish. Both of those you can set up to send you reports or just log onto the website to see the activity that's been going on etc. K9 is a free content blocker which worked well but I don't think it gives you reports. I haven't found anything decent for smart phones yet other than Netnanny which is pretty rubbish. For laptops/PCs I would recommend a combo of Open DNS & Bitdefender. With Open DNS you can even set up so it doesn't block anything but you can just see what websites have been visited (not sure if you can do it to separate by device) so instead you can have conversations about what they have seen rather than blocking the website as that way they won't know you know if your goal is to monitor secretly. Any blocking will show that you know or that you are restricting it so if you are going to block it's good to get agreement first. Hope this is helpful
